Basic Workflow

  1. Create an empty GameObject on the avatar and add the required components.
  2. Configure options and verify the result in preview.
  3. Apply using one of the methods below.
  • With Modular Avatar: applied automatically on upload
  • Without Modular Avatar (for VSeeFace, etc.):
    • Right-click the avatar
    • Run SeeThroughHair/Clone And Apply (Destructive)

Component Guide

See Through Hair Component

  • Configures face renderers to appear through other renderers.
  • Face Select can be used to choose which face areas are shown.

Fake Shadow Component

  • Creates fake hair shadows on the face.
  • Because it is not real-time shadow based, performance overhead can be reduced.

Advanced Option Tip

If behavior does not match when using light-control assets (such as Miso Shadow), first check whether the animation option in advanced settings is enabled.
