I get Detected invalid components on avatar "Goorm.SeeThroughHair.FakeShadowComponent".
This can happen when exporting during VSF extraction without applying the component.
If you are in a non-Modular Avatar environment, right-click the avatar,
run SeeThroughHair/Clone And Apply (Destructive), and then export again.
SeeThroughHair is not applied, or shadows overlap unnaturally.
- Set the hair material Render Queue higher than the face material.
- Remove the hair material alpha mask and disable options such as
Invert. - If you use AAO , disable
Merge Skinned Meshin theAAO Trace and Optimizecomponent. - If you use shaders such as Motchiri , try excluding it from the face.

Eyes are visible through the back of the head.
- This can happen when the hair is a single merged mesh rather than split into front/side/back parts. Add a spherical mesh behind the head to block it, or split the mesh with a mesh-cutting tool and use separated parts.
Project errors keep occurring.
- First, update VRChat SDK and shaders to the latest versions, then test again.
- If there was a previous installation, clean up leftover

Assets that include animations (such as Miso Shadow) do not work.
Enable the animation option in advanced settings.
